Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Cody Lavergne, age 38, who passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro.

Mr. Lavergne was a native and lifelong resident of Church Point and worked as an Electrician. He loved riding motorcycles and shooting pool. He was a member of the Bayou Demons and the American Pool Players Association.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Castille Lavergne; his children, Cody Lavergne, Jr. and Bailey Lavergne all of Church Point; his father, Rayford Lee Lavergne and his wife, Jan; his mother, Peggy Forrestier Vallot; two brothers, Scotty Lavergne of Lafayette and Jacob Lavergne of Sunset; and two sisters, Trina Lavergne and her partner, Denise, of Sunset and Julie Lavergne and her partner, Dwayne, of Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Tony Vallot; his maternal grandparents, Simon and Gladys Forrestier; and his paternal grandparents, Lionel and Anna Mae Benoit Lavergne.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1:00 p.m. Friday and will remain open all night until service time on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Lavergne, Jacob Lavergne, Cody Duhon, Ronnie Wulf, Jeremiah Treadway, Quinton Menard, Chad Prejean, Ricky Forrestier and Jeremy Benoit.

Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Ave., Carencro, Louisiana is in charge of arrangements.
