Obituary Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday February 18, 1991, at the Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Scott, Louisiana for Simon Forrestier, 71 who died at 5 a.m., Saturday February 16, 1991 at his home in Lafayette.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Guidry Forrestier of Lafayette, two daughters, Peggy Lavergne of Lafayette, Carleen Robin of Carencro; five sons, Harold Forrestier of Duson, Robley Forrestier of Lafayette, Rodney Forrestier of Ragley, Patrick Forrestier of Mire and Ricky Forrestier of Carencro; 26 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Duson native and a Lafayette resident for 29 years, he was the son of the late Simonette Forrestier and the former Adeline Morvant, both were Carencro natives.
Prior to his retirement he was employed as a security guard for Malone & Hyde (formerly Affiliated Foods) with 14 years of service.
Pallbearers were Harold Forrestier, Robley Forrestier, Rodney Forrestier, Patrick Forrestier, Ricky Forrestier and Glenn Robin. Honorary pallbearer was Rayford Lavergne.
Martin and Castille Funeral Home in Scott, LA were in charge of arrangements.
