Olan L. Wriedt, 66, of Macon died Monday morning, May 2, 1994, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veteran's Administration Hospital in Columbia.
Services will be at 2 p. m. Friday at the Hutton and McElwain Funeral Home in Macon With Rev. Gary Daud and Rev. Robert Hamm officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Macon. Visitations will be from 1 until 3 and 7 until 9 Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Wriedt was born in Macon on May 7, 1927, the son of Walter A., and Susie Moore Wriedt. He married Virginia Perkins on Sept. 3, 1968, in Moberly.
Survivors include his wife of the home; six sons, seven daughters, 32 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, and one sister. (Names edited out of respect for the living)
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Robert E. Wriedt and Kenny Stanfield; two granddaughters, Jesse Wriedt and Donna Stanfield; one sister, Evelyn; and one brother, Melvin.
He was a lifelong Macon resident. He had worked at Banquet Foods in Macon for 24 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of Teamsters Local Union #688. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene of Macon.
The family suggests memorials to the Kidney Dialysis Unit at the Samaritan Memorial Hospital.
