Frank was born in Rayne Twp., Indiana Co., PA, the son of James Arthur McCurdy and "Nettie" Janetta Tabitha Speedy. He married Mary Ann Vendur on September 6, 1934 in Plumville (S. Mahoning Twp.), Indiana Co., PA.

William F. McCurdy, 92, of Brockway, died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, at the DuBois Regional Medical Center -- East Mengle Care Unit.
The son of James A. and Nettie Speedy McCurdy, he was born Nov. 3, 1906, in Creekside.
Mr. McCurdy was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Ridgway, and the A.A.R.P. He was retired from National Mold in St. Marys.
He is survived by two sons: George McCurdy of Ridgway; and William McCurdy Jr. of Niles, Ohio; three daughters: Mary Jean Miller of Naugatucka [sic], Conn.; Alfreda Goldinger of Brockway; and Dorothea Potts, also of Brockway; 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Vendur, daughter Donna Pisarcik, four brothers and two sisters.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Carlson Funeral Home in Brockway where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Msgr. Louis Heberlein officiating. Interment will be at St. Tobias Cemetery in Brockway.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Brockway Ambulance or DuBois Regional Medical Center -- East Mengle Care Unit.
