OBITUARY :
CLARENCE B. CRILLEY, SR., 71, Waynesboro R.D. 4, was pronounced dead at the Waynesboro Hospital at 12:30 p.m. Friday shortly after being admitted.

He had been in failing health and was unable to work for the past 23 years. He was confined to his bed for five years and was critically ill the past three weeks.

Mr. Crilley was born on Waynesboro R.D. 4 August 23, 1897, a son of the late Lorenzo and Catherine (Cordell) Crilley. All of his life had been lived in Beartown.

During World War I he served with the AEF in France. For a number of years he had been employed at the Waynesboro Knitting Co. Prior to his retirement due to ill health in 1945, he was last employed at Landis Machine Co.

He was a member of Calvary Chapel, Beartown.

In addition to his widow, Mrs. Lulu (Yingling) Crilley, he is survived by these children: Mrs. Hilda Byers, Waynesboro; Mrs. Robert Lucas, Littlestown; Mrs. Donald McCleary, Waynesboro, Clarence B. Crilley, Jr., Wayne Heights; Mrs. Fern Pryor and Lorenzo Crilley, both at home: Stanley Crilley and Mrs. Robert Rowe, both of Rouzerville.

Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Mary Harbaugh, Rouzerville, and a brother, Clyde Crilley, Waynesboro R.D. 4.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. J. Boyd Davis. Burial will be made in the Calvary Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
