CLINTON - Mrs. J.W. (Minnie) Ashley, 90, of 615 Berkshire St. died Saturday in a local nursing home following a lengthy illness.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. today in Magee City Cemetery Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
A native of Mize, she was a longtime resident of Magee and had lived in Clinton for a number of years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Magee.
She is survived by her sons, B.E. Ashley, L.E. Ashley and Herman Ashley, all of Jackson, and O.L. Ashley and Ray Ashley, both of Memphis; daughters, Mrs. Etheree Carr of Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs. Joyce Tew of Clinton; sisters, Mrs. Nolan Garner of Little Rock, Ark., and Mrs. Lottie Roberts of Laurel; and 17 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
