Herman Ashley, Sr., 75, went to be with his Heavenly Father Friday, September 8, 2006 at River Oaks Hospital. Visitation is 2-5 p.m. today at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel with 12:30 p.m. graveside services in Magee City Cemetery.
Herman was a loving husband, father and grandfather and avid Ole Miss Rebel fan.
Survivors include his wife Gay Ashley of Pearl; daughters, Debbie McAda (Randy) of Madison, Roz Miller (Don) of San Antonio, Texas, and Bonnie Sprayberry (Dwight) of Raymond; sons, Frank Ashley, Jr. of Ridgeland, Kevin Ashley and Chris Ashley both of Pearl; sisters, Etheree Carr of Atlanta, Ga. and Joyce Tew of Clinton; brother, Ray Ashley (Nyra) of Cordova, Tenn.; grandchildren, Lisa Garcia, Ashley Sprayberry and Michael McAda; great-grandchild, Blake Garcia; brother-in-law, Winston Merritt (Marlee) of Gilbert, Ariz.; and many other relatives and friends.
