Funeral services for Josephine Frances Anderson, 87 of Peterson, will be held Thursday morning at 10 in the Congregational Church in Peterson. The Rev. David Hawk will officiate and burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Peterson
Clarence Anderson, Ken Joenks, Ted Kosta, Loyd Batcheler, Melvin Joenks and Wesley Batcheler will be the casket bearers.
Anderson was born December 10, 1894 at Royal, the daughter of Joseph and Ella (Carpenter) Batcheler. she received her education in the rural schools and married Clarence Olin Anderson on April 21, 1918 at Mount Joy. They lived in Peterson, moving to a farm in 1949 and back to town in 1959
An active member of the Congregational Church in Peterson. Anderson taught Sunday School and also belonged to the Women's Fellowship. She was also a member of the Cheerful Workers and the Chat a While Club
She died Tuesday at the Cherokee hospital.
Anderson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1959; 11 brothers and sisters and an infant great grandson; Shawn Brown
Survivors include one son, Duane Anderson of Peterson; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren
The Baumgarten Funeral Home of Peterson is in charge of the service arrangements
