11 April 1973: Daniel A. Gerberich, 84, of the United Christian Church Home, Annville RD 1, died Tuesday at the home. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Faith United Church of Christ in Grantville. He was a former resident of Hummelstown RD 1. Surviving are four sons, Mahlon, Detroit, Mich.; George of Elizabethtown RD 2; Daniel I., Annville RD 2, and Ray, Hershey; four daughters, Mrs. John Shaffer, Mrs. Arthur DeLong and Mrs. Warren Boyer, all of Hershey RD 1, and Mrs. Kenneth Hetrick, Palmyra RD 2; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
