Leslie was married Feb 29, 1924 to Martha R. Jansen who was born in Nebraska (1904-1986). She was the daughter of Frederick Jansen findagrave #85197717 and Rosalie Becker findagrave #85197814 of Atkinson, Nebraska, who had moved from Atkinson, Nebraska with their family to Casper, Wyoming in 1921.

Leslie and Martha moved to and lived in Syracuse, New York in 1924 at 1009 E. Fayette St. Occupation were he worked as a Driver.

In 1929 Leslie operated an Auto Service Garage at 115 S. State St. In Syracuse, Onondaga, New York.

Les was an entrepreneur. He had many business ventures including transportation companies, land developments, Bars, And retail businesses in Casper, Wyoming, Salt Lake City, Crescent, and Murray, Utah, Alpine, Wyoming, Las Vegas, Nevada, Scofield, Utah, Manila, Utah and elsewhere.

In 1930 he lived in Casper, Natrona, Wyoming working a Service Station business. He then started and was the President of the Western Transit Line and the City Rapid Transit Lines in Casper.
Leslie and Martha divorced in 1940

In abt 1937he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he owned and operated a Bus Business and Transit Line.

In 1942 he was owner and president of Airway Motor Coach Lines residence at 120 Motor Ave and business operations at 531 S State ST in Salt Lake City, Utah

He married Deon Foutz on Nov 6, 1942. She died in 1968 at their Winter home in Las Vegas, Nevada

Les and Deon held many family gatherings. Les played his Hammond Cord Organ and invited others to join him in making music. He also enjoyed fishing all his life and was fishing at Flaming Gorge when he died.

Leslie Davis along with his two business partners C.Lawrence Henry McFarland and Nate Z. Larson founded Allied Development War Surplus in 1946 in Salt Lake City originally selling War Surplus items after World War II. After a month the business moved to 6400 South State Street in Murray, Utah

They bought the Gillen Brothers Livery and Feed, a livery stable where southern Salt Lake County residents left their horses "in the old days" and rode the streetcar to Salt Lake City. Leslie Davis sold the Airways Motor Coach Lines Co. to Utah Light and Traction Co. and used the money to purchase the livery stable and get started in the war surplus business.

He remained an owner until his death in 1977

Leslie Davis was a philanthropist helping many people in his lifetime. Upon his death his will contributed all his fortune and holdings to the University of Utah College of Medicine establishing as a Patron, the Leslie W. Davis Fully Funded Endowed Chair in Neuroradiology in the Department of Radiology Health Sciences Development.
