In 1905 they moved to Jud, South Dakota where Anna taught school in 1905, 06, 07, 08, and the Spring of 1909 in a little white school house located 1 1/2 miles SE of Jud. In that summer of 1909 a 2 room school house was built in Jud where Anna taught school teaching the first 5 grades.

After the death of her husband John, Anna moved into her own apartment adjacent to her son Roland and his wife Mavis, who provided for her during the last 9 years.

Anna was a delightful person. She was alert and articulate and wrote letters to the editor that were from time to time published in the public forum of The Salt Lake Tribune newspaper. She was a historian and provided genealogy data for her family and others.


She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, and daughter Velma Christensen. She is survived by her sons Leslie (Deon), Roland (Mavis), many grandchildren, and great- grandchildren.
