Mrs. Stone was born in Oconee County, daughter of the late Frank and Estelle Abercrombie Alexander. She was a retired seamstress and homemaker and was a member of Mountain View Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Branyon and her husband, R.D., of Salem; two granddaughters, Sheila Branyon and Teresa Lee; two great-granddaughters, Morgan Lee and Kaytlin Moore; one brother, Lawrence Alexander of Seneca; three sisters, Pearl Durham of Rock Hill, Grace Kelley of Pickens and Jessie Ellenburg of Six Mile.
Mrs. Stone was predeceased by her husband and one daughter, Janice Stone.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Dillard Memorial Custom Funerals by the Rev. Thomas Childs and the Rev. Neal Taylor. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service Tuesday.
