Seneca, SC – Lawrence Alexander, 83, formerly of Return Community, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Morningside in Seneca. Born in Oconee County and raised in Six Mile, Mr. Alexander retired from Carter Oil Company. He was a Marine Corp Veteran serving in WWII and was a member of Return Baptist Church. Surviving are sons Gary Alexander and wife Hellan of Seneca, Joel Alexander and wife Kelly of Covington, GA, daughter Tammy Brock and husband Tracy of Seneca, six grandchildren Lori and Clay Alexander, Elizabeth and Caroline Alexander and Nick and Katie Brock, one sister Jessie Ellenburg of Easley. His wife Bonnie Gibson Alexander and parents Frank Harrison and Estelle Abercrombie Alexander precede him in death.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Return Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 PM, prior to the service Thursday in the church social hall. The family is at the home of daughter Tammy Brock, 170 Shirley's Farm Rd., Seneca.
