ABSHER, MR. CHARLIE FRANCIS, age 77, of Gardendale, died October 25, 1997. He was a member of Piney Wood Baptist Church and a Navy Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by: wife, Melissa Absher of Gardendale; sons, Eddie R. (Mady) Absher of Wilsonville, Roger D. (Darla) Absher of Odenville; daughter, Kaye Absher of Gardendale; six grandchildren; four step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; sisters, Velma Ashley of Blountsville; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 27, 1997, 11am at Gardendale Chapel with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Ray Moore officiating. Ridout's Gardendale Chapel (205-631-6252) directing.
