ABSHER, SARAH MELISSA "GRANNY", age 78, slipped peacefully away on March 26, 2008, to be with her Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Francis Absher. She is survived by two sons, Eddie (Midy) Absher and Roger (Darla) Absher and daughter, Kaye Absher, and by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters, and an un-numbered amount of "adopted" grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 29, at 10 a.m. at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Ridout's Gardendale Chapel is honored to serve the Absher family.
