Truman W. Hicks Dies at Home of Daughter.
Truman W. Hicks, 76, whose home is in Rich Hill, died at 4:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Fred W. Baker, 1520 South Broadway. He had been in ill health about two years.
Mr. Hicks was born Dec. 26, 1867, near Pekin, Ill. He went to Rich Hill about 54 years ago, and about one and one-half years ago came to Pittsburg. He was a retired farmer and grocer. Mr. Hicks was a member of the Baptist church and belonged to the Woodmen of the World.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Belle Hicks; one other daughter, Mrs. G. A Watson of Independence, Kas.; two sons, Archie T. Hicks of Bartlesville and Private Myron Homer Hicks, who is stationed in Virginia with the armed forces; and two sisters, Mrs. A. H. Fann of Kansas City and Mrs. H. F. Gude of Weir.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at Brenner Chapel.
