Mrs. Marian P. Baker, 82, 513 Hobson Place, died at 9:55 a. m. Friday in Mt. Carmel Medical Center. She had been in failing health for two years and entered the hospital three weeks ago.
Mrs. Baker was born Nov. 8, 1890, in Greenwood, Mo., and moved to Rich Hill, Mo., as a child. On Jan. 1, 1914 she married Fred Baker, and the couple had made their home in Pittsburg since that time. Mrs. Baker was a member of the First United Methodist Church and of the Adult Sunday School Class, and was active in other church groups.
Survivors include the widower of the home; a son, Fred W. Baker Jr., Hutchinson; a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Ginn, 1702 S. Olive, fifth grade teacher at George E. Nettels School; two brothers, Arch Hicks, Bartlesville, Okla., and Homer Hicks, Roseburg, Ore., nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a. m. Monday in the Brenner Chapel with Dr. Lloyd H. Rising officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.

Cause of death: pneumonia, immobilizing rheumatoid arthritis.
