Was born in Cornwall England in 1823, he later immigrated to America in the early 1850's to take part in the CA Gold Rush of 1849. He later settled in Gold Hill Nevada where he worked as a miner. He was killed in a mining accident in the Crown Point mine on Sept. 21st 1873 at age 50 and was laid to rest in the Gold Hill Cemetery.
His grave marker has been smashed or stolen by vandals.
