He was born on Feb. 22, 1911, in Stanley and was a son of the late Boss and Daisy Offenbacker Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins worked as a tanner for the Virginia Oak Tannery.
On Oct. 16, 1929, he married the former Della Virginia Meadows, who died on May 15, 1978.
He is survived by a son, Dewey E. Jenkins of Staunton; two daughters, Mildred K. Knott of Luray and Glenda Sue Holmes of Stanley; a sister, Myrtle Meadows of Stanley; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Burial in the Jenkins Family Cemetery in Stanley.
