Confederate Congressman. Georgia Representative and Senator. Kenan was a Georgia state legislator in both houses before serving as in the Confederate Congress. He was the Baldwin County representative in the Georgia Secession Convention. He was against secession, but gave in when his vote was needed to make it unanimous. After signing the Ordinance of Secession, he "threw away the pen."
