Died Sunday morning, January 2, 2011. Sandy was born October 8, 1943 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Scott and Dorothy (Extance) Smeltzer, Sr. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Nikko's Landing for 25 years. Sandy was also a member
of the Comstock V.F.W. Post #6252 Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ruth, Beverly, and Shirley; and two brothers, Charles and Robert. On May 6, 1967, she was united in marriage to Herman D. "Buck" Buckmaster who survives. Also surviving, two children, Gary (Ruth) Buckmaster of Parchment and Kimberly (Chris Imbordino) Harmer of Comstock; four grandchildren, Nicole, Mark, John, and Aaron; six great grandchildren; three brothers, Scott (Gloria) Smeltzer, Jr. of Comstock, Donald Smeltzer of Kalamazoo, and Lyle Smeltzer of Parchment; a sister-in-law, Karen Smeltzer; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may meet the family 1-3 PM Wednesday, January 12 at Nikko's Landing, 5852 King Highway. Private burial will
be held at a later date. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
