Edna I. Smallridge, 70 of 30 Wade St. died at 6:14 p.m. Monday at Medical Center Hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Fawcett-Oliver and Glass Funeral Home with the Rev. J. William Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Boblett Cemetery, Vinton County.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smallridge was born May 24, 1907 in Vinton County to L.C. and Etta Hill Burt. Her husband, Talmadge G. Smallridge, whom she married Aug. 5, 1923 died March 8, 1957.
Mrs. Smallridge is survived by three sons; Harold B. Smallridge, Robert L. Smallridge and Thomas L. Smallridge all of Chillicothe, two sisters; Mrs. Rosa Fout of Creola and Mrs, Jamimah Jungling of Johnstown, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Smallridge was preceded in death by two daughters; Ruth I. and Jean L., one sister; Phoebe and one grandchild; Peggy Sue.
