Service was held Wednesday from the Locust Grove Church, near McArthur, for Langley Chester Burt, 69, who died Monday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. E. Fout, on McArthur, Route 1.
Born Aug. 21, 1870, in Jackson County, he was a retired farmer, had operated a store near his home in Ratcliffburg, and had served two terms as a County Commissioner of Vinton County.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Edna Smallridge, this city; Mrs. Jamimah Jungling, Newark, and Mrs. Fout. The wife, Etta and two daughters, Phoebe and Julyna predeceased him. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, here.
