Son of Albert Ernie Ford and Sarah Isabelle Jennings. Albert, along with four other brothers, joined the Coast Guard on the same day in October 1942. All five of the brothers were stationed aboard the same ship, the Mohave Coast Guard Cutter (destroyer). When the "Fighting Sullivans" lost their lives, the Defense Department ruled that brothers could no longer serve together. Glenn and Cleo spent two years on another ship at a Port in England. Albert, Cecil and Auzy were given shore duty.

Branson Daily News, Wednesday, October 7, 1992, ran a lengthy article by Linda Morgan, TN Staff Writer - "Cecil Ford marks 60 years as practicing attorney". ..."Cecil Ford, 85, has been an attorney for 62 years. He graduated from law school in 1930 and spent 30 years as an attorney with the Veterans Administration in Kansas City. In 1973, he returned to Taney County and currently practices law part time. ..."
