Cecilia M. Jakubowski Brutcher, 85, of Mattydale, died Thursday at University Medical Center. Born in Syracuse , she was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church, Mattydale. She was an avid vegetable gardener and owned many special indoor plants. She is predeceased by her husband, Harry on October 19, 1996; a son, Roman in November 2000; and a grandson, Ricky on October 8, 2000. Surviving are eight children, Wanda (Bill) Tummons, Karen (John Madison) Brutcher, Sherry (Bruce) Kennedy, Arthur (Pat), Stephen (Gladys), David, Andrew, Charles (Marlene Walk) Brutcher; a daughter-in- law, Carol Brutcher; two sisters, Elizabeth Langdon and Regina Rubacha; a brother, Chester Jakubowski; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Fergerson Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret's Church with burial following in North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 215 South Main St., North Syracuse. Contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, Suite 900 MONY Tower II, 120 Madison Street, Syracuse 13202.
