Alsace Township: Site is on the former Edward H. Jackson farm on Skyline Drive. From the northern end of Hampden Blvd, just before Pricetown Rd., right on McKnight's Gap Rd., .5 mile to first stop sign, then sharp left onto Skyline Drive one mile. Cemetery is said to have stood in field on right side of road, a short distance past stone schoolhouse on right. (Information from REK, HSBC
GA-K47) Actually site is located past the houses next to the stone school house to the first open field which is bordered by huge boulders on the boundary closest to the school.
Size: 50' x 210' History: Because the Beckers owned much of the land in this area and two Becker graveyards have been reported in this area it becomes even more difficult to assume where Jacob who died in 1799 might be buried. Jacob had a son Abraham and left a widow
Anna M. Abraham Becker is listed on the 1862 and 1876 Atlas of Berks Co. Site identified by LM, p. 20. Church records: First Reformed, Reading Becker Abraham s/o David June 1, 1766-Jan. 18, 1'860 aged 93 7 17
Rev. T.T. lager records:
Becker Samuel died Nov. 22, 1856 aged 58 8 27
Susanna died Nov. 13, 1857 aged 86 0 24
Observations: Indicates 6 rows of 46 abreast, laying northwest to southeast. Site begins at the boulders about 10 feet in from Skyline Drive and continues across the lane to the house and into the field on the other side of the lane.
