Inside this cemetery in the Rural Municipality of Wallace-Woodworth is a fieldstone cairn commemorating pioneers of the Kinsmore district, specifically the Kinsmore School No. 371 (1885-1914) which later consolidated with Lenore School No. 628, and Kinsmore Church (1907-1934).

A part of the town's story and those of its inhabitants from the early days of European settlement through roughly 1984 is told in the volume "A History of Hamiota Village and Municipality, 1879-1956", especially starting on page 103 and in a related volume entitled "Hamiota Grains of the Century 1884-1984".
