The Our Lady Of the Sacred Cathedral was built in 1922 and inaugurated on September 13 of that year. It was the centre of Bishop Charlebois' Keewatin-Le Pas diocese which stretched from northern Saskatchewan to northern Ontario. Before this cathedral's construction, Charlebois had a small log chapel built in 1897 that served as the first Roman Catholic church in Northern Manitoba. Today, that small structure is a designated heritage building and stands immediately west of the Cathedral building.

Dominion Land Survey coordinates: LSD05-14-56-26-W1
Located in the Town of The Pas, on land away from the town centre, within the lands of the Opaskwayak Cree Nation (21B)
As noted above, a part of the town's story and those of its inhabitants from the early days of European settlement through roughly 2011 is told in the volume "The Pas - Gateway to Northern Manitoba" and the related volume entitled "The Pas - 100 Years".
Free digital versions of these and many other Manitoba local history books can be found online in the University of Manitoba Digital Collections. There is also a list of such books organized by district and town name on the Manitoba Historical Society's website on their page entitled "Finding Aid: Manitoba Local History Books".
