Vernon Zink passed away at Kenton Nursing Home in Greeley, Co. He was the oldest child and son of Eli and Clara Maude (Adcock) Zink. After moving to Grover, Weld Co., Co. in 1924, he married Ada Cornwell on Dec. 1, 1928 in Greeley. They were the parents of three daughters who are now (in 2005) deceased, Barbara Joy (Zink) Hauer, Beverly Joan (Zink) Mitchell, and Sharon Ann (Zink) Mullins, and a son who died at birth.
He was past president and 50-year member of Farm Bureau, and was a member of the Hereford Community Church. He managed two baseball teams during the 1940's called the Plowboys and the Prairie Center Team.
