Nina Maxine Miller, 83, of Winfield, died Thursday, January 1, 1998, at Sunrise Terrace Nursing Home in Winfield.

Born April 13, 1914, in Marsh, she was the daughter of Clarance and Nina Bolon Lowe. On January 23, 1937, she married Don Miller in Crawfordsville. He died June 13, 1991.

Mrs. Miller was a 1932 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. She was a homemaker.

She was a 50-year member of United Church of Christ in Olds and active in Women's Fellowship. She was a charter member of Chapter L of TTT and Order of Eastern Star, both of Winfield.

Survivors include one son, Terry Miller of Denver, Iowa; two daughters, Betty Haars of Madison, Alabama, and Peggy Twait of Minnesota City, Minnesota; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene Fletcher of Crawfordsville and Betty McCoy of Washington; and one brother, Bob Lowe of California.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and three brothers.

Visitation will begin after noon today at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Miller will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at United Church of Christ, with the Reverend Harold Schnedler officiating. Burial will be in North Wayne Township Cemetery in Olds.
