Clarance Lowe of Crawfordsville passed away
Clarance A. Lowe, 87, of Crawfordsville died Monday, November 13, 1967 at a Wellman nursing home. He had not been well for the past year and a half but seriously ill only two days.
The funeral was Wednesday at 2 pm. in the Methodist church at Crawfordsville with Rev. Kenneth Nelson in charge. Burial in Crawfordsville Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Crawfordsville Methodist church.
Mr. Lowe was born March 12, 1880 in Surrey, Ill., a son of John Holland and Augusta Caroline Moore Lowe. He was reared in that community and married there January 23, 1907 to Nina Henrietta Bolon. They farmed in the Crawfordsville community until 1948 when he retired and moved to town. Mrs. Lowe died August 5, 1956.
He was a member of the Methodist church and a past member of the Crawfordsville Lions Club.
Surviving are eight children: Earl of Columbus Junction, Harold of Inglewood, Calif. Lyle of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Maxine Miller, Olds, Mrs. Arlene Fletcher and Mrs. Betty McCoy, Crawfordsville, Mrs. Bernice Kettles, Port Hueneme, Calif., and Robert Lowe of Brea, Calif.
Also surviving are 20 grand-children and seven great grand-children.
