Charles Thomas Cardell, born at Allie, New Mexico (FAM. RECORD SAYS RICHLAND, ROOSEVELT, NM.) and was the first child of of William Thomas Cardell Findagrave # 17678268 and Ella (Peacock) Cardell Findagrave # 24421884
He was married to Dorothy Green at Deming NM (1935) and they had two children, a daughter, and a son. They were divorced, and Charlie moved to California. Charlie was also married to Ann Murrah Crocker (1942) and Beatrice Waters, but they had no children.

Charlie and his brother Dock worked at Deming, NM and they delivered commodities. During that time, they would always save something for their mother, Ella.
He worked for the railroad for many years and helped his brother Doc get a job with them.

WWII Draft Regist card:
Was living at Luna NM.
Enlisted from Ft. Bliss, El Paso, TX. on Apr 2 194O occupation:
Tractor driver, truck driver, heavy equip. Chauffer or Truck driver. He is divorced. Dependents. Height is 34 " weight is 152.

Not sure how long Charlie was in the Army, but think he got a medical discharge. Charlie had, for many years, terrible disabling headaches.

In the Deming Headlight on Dec. 11, 1942 it states that several local Luna County boys left for Ft. Bliss in the Army. Charles Thomas Cardell was one of the boys named.

LIVED IN CALIFORNIA FOR YEARS. HE AND HIS FAMILY WERE IN OROGRANDE NM, 1920 AND MILNESAND, NM IN 1930. WAS STILL WITH ANNA LEE IN 1950.
