Dearly missed by all her family and friends.

Opal Mae Cardell Humphrey, 84, passed into eternal rest at 9:40 P.M. on May 2, 2003 in Tucson. She would have turned 85 in just a few days.
Opal was born May 4, 1918, in Little Rock, Arkansas the daughter of Ella Peacock and William Thomas Cardell. Opal was a long time member of the Jehovah Witness church in Tucson.

She was first married to Raymond Humphrey, then to his brother Charles Humphrey. They were divorced and she never remarried.

She spent her childhood in Texas and New Mexico.
Surviving the depression years taught her thrifty ways. She was always pleased to teach others thrifty ways who were interested in the crafts she learned from the depression years.

She delighted in watching birds, attending church meetings, tending her garden, and watching the flowers grow. Her family truly did "light up her life". She always had a smile and a hug for everyone, and was a true friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Opal is survived by three children; Rance (Rene') Humphrey and Janet Del Grego (now deceased)of Tucson, and Charles Alton (Pam) Humphrey of Alaska. She has four grandchildren, Scotty and Rex Humphrey, Chance Humphrey and Tara Cook, one great grandchild, Devin Shawn Cook of Alaska.
