Goldie Arnett, son of the late Mr. Dillard Arnett and Mrs. Hovie Simpson Arnett, was born 24 Oct 1919 in Green Co. and departed this life at 8:50 am Wed. 7 Apr 1982 at the Jane Todd Crawford memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He was 62 years, 5 months and 13 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church of the Nolynn Association where he served as trustee at the time of his death. He united in marriage to Miss Trannie Davis 23 Dec 1939, who survives. To this union were born 2 sons, Bobby Arnett and Ronda Arnett, both of Greensburg. Mr. Arnett is also survived by 4 sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Walker, Mrs. Helen Judd, Mrs. Iola Underwood, and Mrs. Opal Kessler, all of Greensburg; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of funeral services at 10 am Fri. 9 Apr 1982 at the Oak Grove Separate Baptist church of the Nolynn Association with burial in he church cem. Rev. Robert morris, James Huff and Keith Sullivan officiated. Active pallbearers were Mike Davis, Wayne Davis, Randy Davis, Twyman Davis, Dale Walker and Jerry Arnett. Honorary pallbearers were June Wooldridge, Winford Simpson, Ray Davenport and Boyce Davis.
