Trannie Davis Arnett, 83, of Green County, Ky., died on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at her home. Daughter of the late Otis Davis and Vallie Pierce Davis, she was born on June 15, 1920 in Green County, Ky., and was a member of Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church of the Nolynn Association and a homemaker. She was married to Goldie Milton Arnett on Dec. 23, 1939. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1982. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Suvada Arnett and the Rev. Ronda and Gail Arnett, all of Green County, Ky.; one brother, Eyvind Davis of Donansburg; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Buford Davis, Samuel "Sambo" Davis, Garnett Davis, Otis Davis and Carlos Davis; and one great-grandson, Adam Michael Arnett. Funeral was at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28 at Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church of the No lynn Association with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Keith Sullivan, the Rev. Verlin Perry and the Rev. Charlie Houk officiated. Pallbearers were Barry Arnett, Ryan Arnett, the Rev. Charlie Houk, Marty Hickerson, Greg Arnett, the Rev. Troy Arnett, Larry Jeffries, Ricky Arnett, Brian Sprowles and David Smith. Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg was in charge of arrangements.
