Mrs. Ilola Arnett Underwood, daughter of the late Mr. Rufus Dillard Arnett and Mrs. Hovia Simpson Arnett, was born January 25, 1923, in Green County and departed this life on Monday, November 28, 1993, at her home in Green County.
She was 70 years, 10 months and four days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church. She united in marriage to Mr. Lilburn Underwood on November 2, 1951, who preceded her in death on May 5, 1990.
She is survived by one sister: Opal Kessler of Greensburg; four nephews: Jerry Arnett, Ronda Arnett, Bobby Arnett, all of Greensburg, and Dale Walker of Campbellsville; three nieces: Vickie Bright, Inis Davis, both of Greensburg, and Daulphene McMahan of Campbellsville; two brothers-in-law: Walt Kessler and Edmond Underwood, both of Greensburg; three sisters-in- law: Trannie Arnett, Vera Arnett, both of Greensburg and Jessie Underwood of Campbellsville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters: Reginald Arnett, Goldie Arnett, Early Arnett, Hervia Arnett, Helen Judd and Gertrude Walker.
The funeral services for Mrs. Ilola Arnett Underwood were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
