Elizabeth Lauck Boyers was born in Winchester, Frederick, Virginia on Aug. 30, 1787. She was the daughter of Simon Lauck (1760-1815)who was a private in Morgan's Company of Riflemen from Virginia in the Revolutionary War. Her mother was Catherine Starr born in 1766 in Connecticut.

On April 14, 1805 she married Jacob Boyers in Frederick, Virginia. She gave birth to thirteen children.

By 1920. the Boyers had moved to Monongalia, Virginia (later to be West Virginia) and there they raised their large family.

Elizabeth was widowed in 1836 and she herself died in Jimtown likely while living with her son, Hyrcanus and his family. She is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, near her husband Jacob.
