Mr. & Mrs. Glahn celebrated their Golden Anniversary in 1921 with their five children, Joseph Glahn of Jefferson, Herman Glahn of Billings, John C. Glahn of Jefferson, Mrs. Maggie Krittenbrink of Jefferson and Mrs. Mary Pryor of Wichita. Their twenty-six grand children were also present and their great-grandchild, Hugh P. Haugherty Jr., of Enid.
John and Mary were married in Quincy, Illinois, moving to a farm near Clarence, Shelby County, Missouri. In 1893 Mr. Glahn staked a farm during the race into the Cherokee Strip, near Jefferson, which has been their home continuously until January third, 1921, when they moved to Enid.
