B. R. Smith 84, died of a heart attack last night at 10:30 o'clock at the home of his son, Minor Smith, after a week's illness. His wife, formerly Frances C. Johnson, died three years ago. He leaves ten children, Jesse, Charles, Clarence and Minor, of Clark's Hill; Noah and Guy, of Brookston; Blanche Smith, Mulberry; Clyde, Colfax; Mrs May Moffitt, Darlington, and Mrs Hazel Rance, Thorntown. He was a member of the Christian church. Friends may call at the home of Minor Smith. Services Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Christian church here; Rev. Doyle Mullen, of Lafayette, officiating. Burial in the Clark's Hill Cemetery. Dickerson, funeral director of Stockwell, in charge.
