Stockwell, Jul 19-Mrs. Louisa Platt, 82, died here at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ross Fisher, at 4 o'clock Sunday morning following invalidism of three years. Born Dec. 1, 1852, in Iowa, she was the daughter of Henry and Hannah Smith and was married to E. N. Platt in 1873. She was a member of the Christian church. Surviving are nine children: Mrs. Fisher, with whom she made her home; Mrs. Lenora Locke, of Jefferson; Mrs. Carrie Roudebush, of Lafayette; Quincy and Jacob Platt, of Stockwell; John and Everett Platt, of Lafayette; Claude Platt of Illinois; William Platt, of Louisiana; and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the Methodist church with the Rev. Charles Roush officiating. Burial will be in the Stockwell Cemetery.
