Mrs. EVA AGNES KNODE, widow of the late John Vinton Knode, died at her home at 1072 South Potomac Street yesterday at 8:45 p.m. She was born in Sharpsburg, the daughter of the late Jacob and Barbara (Johnson) Bender.

She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Sharpsburg, and was also a member of the Eastern Circle of St. John's Episcopal Church, Hagerstown.

She is survived by daughters, Mildred I. and Anna K., at home; Mrs. Dorothy A. Williams, Smithburg; Mrs. Agnes Johnston, Pa; sons, William W., Ellis F., Roland J., D. McKinley and Robert E., all of Hagerstown; sister, Mrs. Mollie King, Hagerstown; and brothers, Samuel Bender and Garrott Bender, both of Sharpsburg. Ten grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The remains were removed to the Norment Funeral Home. Funeral announcements will be made later.
