ELSIE ANDERSON

STRATFORD - Elsie C. Anderson, 95, died Friday, July 24 at the Evangelical Free Church Home, where she had resided.

Funeral services were held today, July 27 at the Stratford South Marion United Methodist Church with Rev. William VanDam officiating. Burial was in the South Marion Cemetery.

The Stark-Welin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born Jan. 5, 1892, the daughter of Carl and Jennie Hanson Carlstedt. She married Lloyd Anderson at Stratford on March 9, 1921. She was a housewife, a member of South Marion United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by two daughters, Maxine Wilhelm of Boone, Doris Crouch of Boxholm; one son, Kenneth of Stratford; 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Anna Peterson; and two brothers, Herman and Clifford Carlstedt, both of Stratford.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services for Elsie C. Anderson, 95, Boone, were held Monday, July 27, 1987 at the South Marion United Methodist Church, Stratford. Rev. William VanDam, Stanhope, conducted the 2:00 p.m. service. Interment was held in the South Marion Cemetery, Stratford. Arrangements were completed by Stark Welin Funeral Directors, Stratford.

Mrs. Anderson passed away Friday, July 24 at the Evangelical Free Church Home, Boone.

During the service Ardelle Phipps sang, "How Great Thou Art" and "In The Garden" accompanied by Margaret Crim. Bearers were Terry Crouch, Robyn Crouch, Larry Trulix, Donald Beal, Thomas Brodrick and Charles Kinsey.

Elsie C. Carlstedt was born on January 5, 1892 at Stratford. She was the daughter of Carl and Jennie (Hanson) Carlstedt. Elsie married Lloyd F. Anderson on March 9, 1921 at Stratford.

Elsie was a housewife and a member of South Marion United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary at Stratford. Mr. Anderson passed away several years ago.

Survivors include daughters, Maxine Wilhelm, Boone; Doris Crouch, Boxholm; son, Kenneth Anderson, Stratford; brothers, Herman Carlstedt and Clifford Carlstedt, both of Stratford; sister, Anna Peterson, Stratford; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
