Walter Lilbert Hise, 66, of Hightown, died Sunday morning, Dec. 28 at Kings Daughter Hospital. He had been a patient there for two months and recently underwent major surgery. He was a son or Samuel and Ellen Sheffer Hise and was born in Highland County Oct. 17, 1903. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Cleo Arbogast Hise; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Armstrong and Mrs. Ruby Simmons, both of Mill Gap, and Mrs. Mary Crisco. Asheboro, N.C.; a son, Burley Hise, of Bolar, a sister, Mrs. Ratie Moyers, Durbin, W.Va.; a brother, Clay Hise, of Hightown; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held from' the Hise home at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Dec. 30 by the Rev. Thompson B. Southall. Interment was in the Hise family cemetery, with the Obaugh Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
