Samuel Hise, aged resident of the Meadow Dale section of the county, died last Sunday. He had been in failing health for a long time, being approximately 75 years of age. Mr. Hise came here from the Stokesville section of Rockingham many years ago, and followed the business of blacksmith, in which line of work he was regarded as a genius. He is survived by his wife, who has been ill for some time, and several children. Funeral took place Monday near the home.
