Father of Mrs. Diane Keating of West Bridgewater, Louise Munroe of Lake Wylie, S.C., brother of Mrs. Edith Clifford of Brockton, Mrs. Mabel Carlson of Hanson and Mrs. Jennie Glover of Calif.
Calling hours in the Russell Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9. Graveside services will be held in Melrose Cemetery on Wednesday, March 30, at 11 a.m.

Henry A. Garfield, 84, store owner

BROCKTON – Henry A. Garfield, 84, of 3 Oneida Ave., died at the Brockton Hospital Friday morning after a long illness.
Born in Plattsburg, N.Y., the son of the late Edward A. and Mary (Antoine) Garfield, he came to Brockton as a young boy and remained in this city. Mr. Garfield and his late wife, Lillian (Beals) Garfield, operated the Jack and Jill children's clothing shop for many years in Brockton. He was a life member and a charter member of the Holbrook Sportsman's Club and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Mr. Garfield is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Diane Keating of West Bridgewater and Mrs. Louise Munroe of Lake Wylie, S.C.; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Clifford of Brockton, Mrs. Mabel Carlson of Hanson, and Mrs. Jennie Glover of California.
After cremation at Forest Hills Crematorium, graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Melrose Cemetery.
Arrangements by the Russell Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton.
