Odas was born on February 2, 1913 in Cannon County to Joe Jasper Bogle and Mary Ethel Summar Bogle. He was a farmer in the Sycamore Community.
Survivors include wife, Annie Mae Gilley Bogle; a son, James L. Bogle of Woodbury; five sisters, Joyce Garner of Nashville, Bernice Lillard, Allie Cooley, Mary Dutton and Helen Anderson, all of Franklin; five brothers, Grady of Gassaway, Andrew and Frank of Donelson, L.B. of Nashville and Paul T. Bogle of Franklin; and one grandson.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on February 12, 1977 at Sycamore Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Sycamore Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Woodbury Funeral Home.
