Catharine Matilda Johnson was the daughter of William Johnson, originally of Schenectady, NY, and his wife Margaret E. Shook, daughter of Senator Hezekiah Shook.
She was the third of seven daughters and married George Clifford Wood in 1867. Unfortunately, Catharine died less than a year after their marriage. In 1870 George married her sister Wiley Ann.
