JEFFERS, FEALIN – "Cordell". Mr. Fealin Jeffers died last Tuesday night, March 28th, he had been seriously ill for two weeks. He was 67 years of age, and leaves a wife, Mrs. Dessie Jeffers, five daughters, three sons, five step children, two brothers and two sisters besides a host of friends and relatives to mourn his absence. He was buried Thursday in the Jeffers cemetery with the Revs. M. D. and John L. Lawson and Maynard Jeffers conducting the funeral. Mrs. Martha Collins returned to St. Louis, Mo., Thursday after being here on the account of the illness and death of her father, Fealin Jeffers. (Source: The Scott County News, 7 Apr 1933, p3)
