Lucinda Harness, 85, of Rt. 1 Huntsville, passed away in Knoxville, Wednesday, November 12. She was the daughter of the late Felin Jeffers and the late Linda York Jeffers and a member of the Bull Creek Baptist Church. Survivors: husband, Jess Harness of Rt. 1 Huntsville; three sons, Argil Lawson of Rt. 1 Pioneer, Howard Lawson and Galen Lawson both of Cincinnati; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Borgman of Cincinnati, and Mrs. Ethel Phillips of Al Tahoe, Calif.; brother, Arlie Jeffers of Cleveland, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Paula of Cumberland Falls, Ky., Mrs. Eva Patton of Norma, and Mrs. Rebecca Martin of Orangebury, S. C.; nine grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the West Funeral Home Chapel 12 noon Saturday, November 15, with Rev. Jennings Terry, Rev. John T. Adkins, and Rev. General Calvin Phillips officiating. Burial in the Bull Creek Cemetery. West Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. (Source: The Scott County News, 20 Nov 1975, p12)
