William J. Watson, 82, Bradenton, died Sept. 9, 2002. He was born Jan. 26, 1920, in Erick, Ga, and came to Manatee County in 1954 from McRae, Ga. He retired after 30 years with Millers Trailers Sales. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bradenton. Survivors include daughters Gail Davis of Talbott, Tenn, Ann Galloway of Roswell, Ga, Gwen LeMaster of Lawrenceville, Ga, and Janice Pettit of Bradenton; sisters Mavis Brandon of NC, and Virginia Ogilvie of Quincy; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manatee Avenue Chapel. The service will be at 11am Friday at Calvary Baptist Church, Bradenton. Burial with graveside military honors by American Legion Kirby Stewart Post 24 will be at Skyway Memorial Gardens, Palmetto.
